We all have that one Tita who we always look forward to visiting, in one part for her cozy home and another for the never-ending parade of food she serves whenever we stay over at her place. This is the exact same feeling we have whenever we step into the charming space of a Café Mary Grace establishment.
What started as a humble store back in 2002 blossomed into a café in 2006—and this 2021, Café Mary Grace opens the doors of its most massive space yet. At the ground floor of Ayala Malls Manila Bay holds the 42nd branch of Café Mary Grace, making it the restaurant’s biggest indoor café to date.
Perfect for a noontime nosh with fellow Ladies Who Lunch, catching up with friends intimately, or letting your kids entertain themselves as you dine with the adults, Café Mary Grace’s Ayala Malls Manila Bay branch comes with its own Gathering Room and Children’s corner, where a reading loft awaits the kids.
While dine-in services are temporarily suspended and we await for the return of in-branch dining, we wanted to build your hankering for Café Mary Grace by nominating some underrated gems from their hefty menu. In our opinion, these dishes deserve as much recognition as the Mary Grace favorites we love.
Should you crave Mary Grace during this semi-lockdown period, no need to worry—Café Mary Grace Ayala Malls Manila Bay is ready to serve you via pick-up, take-out or through Ayala Malls ANA shopping service.
A saucy starter—the Seafood Chowder
Kick off your Mary Grace meal with a hearty Seafood Chowder, a filling soup filled with clams, dory, mussels, and prawns, swimming in seafood broth. This delicious starter will definitely fill your tummy and warm your heart—don’t say we didn’t warn you!
A balanced entrée—the Dory and Saffron Cream Plate
If you’re looking for a little bit of everything (and then some), try their Dory and Saffron Cream Plate. One of three Perfect Plates in the menu, this meal includes smoked ham with almonds, cranberries, and balsamic vinaigrette salad, and the star of the show—dory and saffron cream pasta.
To top it all off, you can get your pick of the day’s scrumptious dessert. From the mere look of it, this dish is plated perfection.
Premium pasta—Amatriciana with Italian Meatballs
For the tomato-based pasta lovers out there, the Pasta Amatriciana with Italian Meatballs is a satisfying treat. A notch above the typical meatball pasta, this dish includes perfectly al dente spaghetti noodles slathered in tangy tomato sauce and bacon, topped with Italian meatballs.
Pro tip: we personally like dousing the dish in parmesan cheese, and a dash of chili flakes for that extra kick. There really is beauty in simplicity.
Game changing dessert—Mango Bene
Is it time for dessert yet? What if we tell you that there is more than one good mango cake in town? Satisfy your sweet tooth cravings with a slice or two of the Mango Bene cake. Made with frozen layers of meringue and custard cream, and filled with fresh mangoes in between each layer, this light piece of heaven will make your mouth sing.
A worthy refresher—Apple and Cinnamon Honey Iced Tea
Summer season has already made its presence known with the scorching temperatures that we've experiencing even indoors. Beat the heat with a refreshing glass of Apple and Cinnamon Honey Iced Tea, that goes well with any meal. It also comes in pitcher size, best to share with your amigas over chichi.
Once dine-in doors open again, let Café Mary Grace Ayala Malls Manila Bay welcome you back into its home.
